Why can’t a user delete calendar delegates from their own calendar

A few users on our domian are having problems when deleting delegates that are able to access their calendar. The users that they cant delete used to be in our domain but since adding them have moved to a child domain. You can change the type of delgate they are or delete them but as soon as you clcik apply, it reverts back to what is was before!
