why cant my emails go to inbox in outlook?

i am using MS look 2003 to exchange emails. it has been working very fine but now new messages comes and it shows ‘receiving messages 1 out of 13″ and it hangs there. the messages don’t go into the inbox nor spam.but it can send out emails. the configurations are very fine because ther computers on the same internet are receiving emails. is my outlook corrupt. what do i do. help please.
