why don’t my graphics publish???

i recently upgraded to office 2ooo…when i attempt to publish graphics all i get are the box’s with the graphics icon???…i was using office 97 before …and it worked fine???..is geocities not compatible with 2000???…and if so how do i reinstall 97 with out it changing 2000???…see my dilema???
