I have a Dell PC running Win XP Media Centre Edition with a number of printers attached.
I also have a Compaq desktop running Ubuntu Linux v 7
I access the internet through both PC’s via a Belkin wireless router. The Dell is attached to the router via ethernet cable and the Compaq connects vis my secured (WEP key) wireless network.
I have a workgroup set up for LAN on the Dell
The Dell PC has the shared documents folders set for file sharing and all the attached printers are set as shared printers.
I cannot see the shared folders or printers on the Compaq (Linux PC). although the Compaq knows the name of the workgroup.
I suspect it’s something on the Dell (Win XP) system as previously I had the same (unsolved) problem when I had another PC (Win XP and Win ME) in place of the current Compaq PC.
Any ideas Helppppplease?
