As my continual knowledge grows with Windows XP, I am yet again humbled by trying to figure out another configuration. I am seeking to retain the same desktop settings for all users, so that the network settings don’t need to be configured every time. Because I am the admin for a school district, we are in an environment where kids need to access the machines inconsistently across the building. That means that one day a student might use machine A, but the next day use machine B. I am trying to avoid using roaming profiles, and just configure that machine locally for all users. Is this possible in Windows XP? I have to admit, this is one nice feature of Windows 9x, but not without limitations of course. Thanks for any input you might have.
