I am looking for any serious benchmarks or references that show minimum real-time requirements for a Windows 2000 Server running standard MSSQL 2000. Specifically, I would like to see threshholds of RAM and DISK requirements as a database grows at a standard 10%. At what point should I upgrade either or both? Of course, I could keep adding RAM and DISK space regardles of requirements. But, I’ve read that there is performance degradation by adding too much RAM or too much DISK. However, I need to know the bottom baseline when it is time to upgrade. Being a little bit more negative, how much RAM/DISK space do I need before either Win2K or SQL2000 becomes unstable? how much is too much?
Please, Do not submit “Installation requirements”
Thanks.
