Win2k p2p – latop to pc

Presario 12xl405 will not see any other network nodes. I have the same group name, protocols and UID with unique computer names but still no go. I have Ethernet NIC in the PC and a dongleless PCMCIA 10/100 network card in the laptop.The PC sees the group members but is not allowed to browse, the laptop will not even see the group members. “The network path is not found”.
Help!!!
