Win2k sharing printers with Win 98 clien

by jim.crowell . Updated 23 years, 1 month ago

I am having this problem:

We are running Windows 2000 server and are attempting to share network printers with clients running a Windows 98 machine and a Windows ME machine. The network printers are hosted by the Windows 2000 server. The problem is: The Win 98 users and Win ME users are unable to “see” any of the printers on the 2k server. When browsing to add a network printer- none are available? We have Win 2k and Win XP users on our network and they have no problem adding and using the network printers.

We have added Windows 98 drivers to the 2k server and placed all users in one group with the same printer sharing. The sharing settings seem to be correct. In addition- all users are able to share files with the Win2k server. Can anyone help? Thanks!
