Winbind and X Windows

Howdy. I’ve got a RedHat 7.3 workstation with winbind successfully configured to authenticate against an NT PDC when the Linux box is running in runlevel 3. Now I need to set it so that I can authenticate vs the PDC in runlevel 5. I’m using GNOME, and I will be happy to switch to SuSE, Mandrake, RedHat 8.0, anything, if someone can tell me how to successfully set it so that the graphical login is set against an NT server.
