windows 2000 profissional outlook

iam using windows2000 profissional operating system iam having default outlook express (not msoutlook)so if any person is sending attachment iam unable view.i was already upgrade the interexplorer 6 and as well as updated the windows. so what is the reason.kindly tel me the solution as soon as possible.
