Windows 8 Sleep Issue

Ok so i have a laptop that i installed windows 8 professional x64. When i close the lid to put the laptop to sleep it goes to sleep successfully but when i want to wake it up every this comes backon lights on the system etc but the screen stays black only way to get it to comeback is to physically shut the system down and then it works again until i enter sleep mode again any ideas?
