A Windows 95 user recently acquired a modem for her ThinkPad and asked us to configure it for her. Normally, if DUN isn’t loaded it’s a simple matter to go to Add/Remove Programs, Windows Setup and select DUN under Communications. Problem is, it isn’t listed under Communications. We’ve tried uninstalling both TCP/IP and the DUN adapter and reinstalling but still we have no DUN listed under Communications. Is there a way to re-load this option short of reinstalling Windows 95? Her system is flakey because of a few proprietary programs and we really hate to mess with it much. Any clues as to how DUN was removed? I haven’t seen this before.
