Windows Media Plaer won’t copy disc’s

I tried to burn some songs that I had already had on my Media player to a CD. WMP keeps telling me that I need to connect a burner and then restart. My burner is working fine according to my Device Manager, I even tried to troubleshoot it to make sure. I checed in the properties of the WMP to make sure that the burner is on their list, and it is. The problem is, I have burned CD’s from WMP before and it is just now doing this. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?
