Windows SP2 Dsl Problem

Hey, It’s been two weeks since I’ve got my Dsl. The first thing that I did was to download the SP2 patch and intsall it. When I returned from school the patch was after installing itself but my internet wasn’t working. No problem I thought just roll back the drivers. Upon doing this the problem was the same , no change. Then I decided to connect to my old dial-up connection but now that wasn’t working either. So now i’m left here without any broadband or dial up connection. If it’s any help i’m able to ping any site but I can’t tellnet it. Also Kazaa or Steam or any program that uses the internet dosen’t work either. Does anyone have any help??
