Windows Vista, File Access Violation, Stole My File!!!

by scottieoo . Updated 17 years, 1 month ago

I was trying to design a Webpage in Windows Vista using Adobe Dreamweaver and testing it in Internet Explorer 7 (as you would do using the worlds most popular Web Browser).

The page contained Flash content, JavaScript, and just basic HTML and CSS.

I was reloading the page several times and then trying to reload the page again in Adobe Dreamweaver. The Vista OS then kept telling me that I was commiting a File Access Violation. I kept doing it several times to test the correct working of my file and then finally the file disappeared and IE7 could not display the webpage! I also tried to edit the permission, because after that I could not even load the file in IE7 or Dreamweaver, and it said “You do not have permission to access this file, access is denied!”

I was shocked at this and I even restarted my computer and the file was gone FOREVER!! 🙁

This not only waisted hours of my work, as I could not recover the file, I also had to recreate it again because Windows Vista ATE MY FILE!!!!

What is going on with Windows Vista and its file managment?!?!
