windows xp home services

by ssexyssadie . Updated 16 years, 11 months ago

It seems that new services were somehow added and I am wondering what they are actually for and if they are needed. From the searches I have done on these I cannot find the answer I am looking for which is: What is it for and do I need to have it enabled?

These are the following services I am asking about:

Microsoft.NET Framework NGEN
ASP.NET State Service
Extensible Authentication Protocol Service
Health Key and Certificate Mgmt Svc.
Network Location Awareness
Office Source Engine
Remote Access Auto Connection Manager
WebClient
Windows Driver Foundation
Windows Presentation Foundation Font Cache

I have Windows XP home edition, I.E. version 6, windows svc pk 3

Updates are current

If more info is needed let me know.

Thank you
