Wireless Access Point + MSN

Have a home network set up with 2 laptops on it. One laptop has wirless built in and msn connects and runs well. The second is connected via cat5 and msn will not connect however i can surf the net with IE. Both are connected to a wireless access point, and the access point is connected to my adsl modem by cat5. i want to know what i need to do to get msn to work on the second laptop.

Any help would be great.
