Wireless Button tto connect smart phone with all devices?

I have discovered a wireless bluetooth button called Flic (www.flic.io) that lets you connect your smart phone with other devices and create a short cut to control them. I would like to know if this is technically possible so maybe I pledge for this project on Indiegogo
