Wireless N on an “outdated” laptop

by fishingforbasses . Updated 16 years, 9 months ago

I have never had a laptop while a new wireless standard has come out. (I only had towers which are obviously much easier upgraded).

here’s a link for my laptop:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9375865&type=product&id=1218094582785

it’s the best computer I’ve ever owned btw.

Is “wireless N” itself a software thing, aka will my network card support it, or will the computer need a hardware update? (Doubting the network card inside the computer will be removable?) I haven’t screwed with the insides yet cuz I honestly have no reason to at this point.

thanks a lot,

I plan on buying a wireless n router, that’s why I am asking.. (linksys of course :P)
