Wireless Network Planning

I’m the IT manager at a smallish manufacturing company and the company brass has expressed an interest in setting up wireless networking. Having investigated prices a little bit, I’ve found 802.11g stuff anywhere in the range of 200 to 600 dollars. Netgear’s stuff is selling for about 200 while Cisco is going for 600. For an office setup of about 40 users all hardwired, primarily interested in the wireless for around 15 mobile users (laptops, pdas, etc) could anyone suggest equipment? Why would there be such a drastic price difference between netgear and cisco? Any advice would be greatly welcomed
