Wireless Printer + Wired Printer via Rout er-Modem

I have ver izon dsl

I have a pc w/o wireless capabilities connected directly to my printer. I want to also allow myself to connect with the printer wirelessly to my laptop. I bought a wireless kit from HP.

Question is, can I keep the plug in the desktop and plug the wireless apparatus into the modem/rounter for my laptop to use
