I have a user who gets the WMRUNDLL.EXE error message when not connected to the Network. The exact phraing of the message reads, “WMRUNDLL.EXE has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. A log is being generated”.
He gets the error when operating as a stand alone while using is Notebook computer at home working in Applications such as Excel, Word, etc.
I’ve already applied the patches suggested by Novell. The current client is 4.0 SP3. The Operating System is Windows 2000 Professional.
Upon opening the Task Manager, I do not see this application running. The research I’ve done at Microsoft’s Website, indicate this may be tied to Dr. Watson. Novell indicates that it is directly tied to the client. An article I found at Google’ Website indicates the file can be deleted from the system without doing harm to the workstation.
I would like to find a resolution to this problem as some as possible. Can anyone help me?
