Word 2003 Filename and Path “issues”

by ddockum . Updated 18 years, 5 months ago

User typically prints “filename and path” within Word Document. Normally can be printed to document by selecting “Insert-Autotext-Header/Footer-Filename and path” from toolbar or adding (then clicking on) the “filename and path” button to the toolbar. No longer works!

In this instance – when applied, all that prints out to the Word document rather than the actual dynamic location of the document is the phrase: “filename and path”.
(NOT: {FILENAME\p} as defined by field codes being checked in Word Tools\options\view)

I can only “assume” that it is a specific setting somewhere within this users profile – all other user profiles on this PC (Gateway/XP Pro)work correctly. I have cut and pasted working Normal.dot file(s) to this profile. Repaired and then reinstalled Office 2003 – same issue…could it be Registry key settings?
