I have a client with a new computer with Office 2007. He is familiar with using the address book in Microsoft Outlook as a data source when he prints envelopes in MS Word.
I imported the address book data from MS Outlook on his previous machine to the new Outlook 2007. When he accesses it to enter labels and Outlook 2007 is open, it works just fine. However, when Outlook 2007 is closed and he goes to access the address book for his envelopes, Word 2007 crashes.
I have attempted several fixes for this. I have created a new .pst file and imported the data from his old .pst file into it, wondering if the “unicode” was the problem. That did not fix it. I even created a new .pst file and imported the address data from a .csv file. The problem persists.
I am wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem with Office 2007? Does anyone have a fix for this problem or ideas of anything else I could try?
Thanks for putting your head to this problem.
