I use Office 2007 for research by opening two windows on my screen. On one side is a Word 2007 document and on the other is a web browser. I cut and paste information from the web into the Word document.
However, it took almost 20 seconds for the insertion point (cursor) to appear in the Word document when I clicked on it after I had been clicking in the web page. This made cutting and pasting virtually impossible.
I spent about 5 hours on the phone with Microsoft technicians trying to resolve the problem. It turned out to be caused by an Add In to Office 2007 called PDF Complete. The problem can be corrected by uninstalling PDF Complete from the Add/Remove Programs list. The latest version of PDF Complete will function properly.
I hope this helps save someone the hours and hours of wasted time that I spent trying to fix this problem.
