Writing as a supplement?

Hi. I’m looking to find some writing assignments to do as a supplement to my career and I’m wondering how I can go about doing that. I’ve published work for a tech mag several times before but I’d like to broaden my horizons to other mags and possibly technical manuals and the like. Anyone have any thoughts?
