Xandros Dual Boot Oddity

Ok, I set up a dual boot system between windows XP Pro and Xandros Linux.

every was fine, both installed and bootable.

Next afternoon, I’m asked what Xandros did to lock the network interface from getting online with windowx XP pro.

huh? say what?
how can Xandros disable the nic in windows?

I put a completely different distro on instead of Xandros, and windows was online with out having to touch anything in it.

anyone have any clue how Xandros disabled the nic in windows without changing a thing on the windows NTFS partitions?
