Xp Home \windows\system32\config\system

This after noon i restated my xp home dell descktop and then it camup
with \windows\system32\config\system. and it said to try reparing it
with the cd that windows was installed with so i tryed that and then as
soon as i did something in that it just cam up with the blue screen of
death with REGISTRY_ERROR and told me to restart in safe mode. so i
tryed bt it didnt do anything but restart the computer.
