I was trying to make my work-laptop (which i can log in to even if I am not connected to my domain) to run smoother. Before trying to defrag my laptop i had to change boot.ini settings in msconfig to failsafe mode.
After that the bootdefrag went fine, but when trying to log into win xp the domain login is gone, and i am left the default login.
I have tried to get the adminpsw with Ophcrack but so far no luck.
I was wondering if i could override the failsafe mode to make the computer start in normal mode? (I have tried F8, at boot time, but the boot.ini settings i made previously seem to override anything i choose from the F8 menu)
Would I be able to install another xp and from there change boot.ini and remove the failsafe option, without messing up even more due to having made a duel install?
