Hope someone can provide a solution. I recently upgraded from Win 2K to XP Pro – Installation worked fine for a couple of months. Then had a problem with Norton Firewall 2003 so uninstalled and reinstalled Firewall 2002, problem solved temporarily. Then began having hardware slowdowns and hanging software despite numerous scans via McAfee and System Mechanic, Norton software. So I decided to backup everything and reinstall everything after reformatting the HD. I was unable to reformat, the drive manually but started what I thought was a clean install with the XP Installation disk, as the first attempt failed??? I tried again and had some success;o). What actually happened was that the HD was partitioned and I now 2 and half versions of XP on the HD. I’m not that technical but would would be grateful if somebody could tell me the best way to completely wipe the HD and start over, or how to get back to reinstalling Win 2K. Thanks
