Images: Microsoft makes blogging easy

  • Microsoft uses WYSIWYG to describe its Windows Live Writer beta blogging tool. Microsoft says the image on your screen will look exactly like the published version.

  • Windows Live Writer tries to take the mystery out of photo editing. You can insert a photo by cutting and pasting or using “Insert Picture” dialogue. After it appears in the blog, you can adjust the dimensions or apply special effects.

  • You can add maps to your blogs in much the same way as photos. Plus, you can change the view or add pushpins to highlight your map.

  • The Windows Live Writer SDK lets you add embedded audio or video players, images from online photo publishing sites and links from e-commerce sites.

  • Windows Live Writer will work with services such as Windows Live Spaces, Blogger, LiveJournal and more.
