Elon Musk
Many in the tech space are boycotting the social media giant’s alleged misuse of user data by pulling ads or deactivating their accounts.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk was among the first to delete his Facebook account following the Cambridge Analytica scandal. However, in a tweet he noted that it wasn’t a political move, or due to a dare–Facebook just gives him “the willies.”
According to The Atlantic, the Facebook page for Musk’s Hyperloop concept also got deleted. However, the pages for other Musk initiatives, like OpenAI, remain active.

Steve Wozniak
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak also quit Facebook, as originally reported by USA Today, over concerns about how the firm was making money off of the personal data of its users.
Brian Acton
Brian Acton, co-founder of WhatsApp, urged his Twitter followers to delete Facebook in a tweet sent out in late March. Acton’s tweet is ironic because Facebook bought WhatsApp for $19 billion in 2014.
