AOL says it has recovered about $100,000 in cash and gold bars from a spammer–with a little help from its friends, members who clicked a “report spam button” to register their complaints. The Internet giant is giving away the loot through its AOL Spammer’s Gold Sweepstakes.
A fully loaded 2003 Hummer H2 is among the prizes that will be given away in the contest.
