a workaround for vsto?

I’m running visual studio 2005, but don’t have the vsto add-in. Is there any way I can develop a Web Application that opens Word, and pastes the results from a SqlDataSource that has populated a form view that is a child of a grid view? I tried different ideas, an array, data reader and members, httpRequest/Response, WebRequest – even tried using crystal reports – and it uses a header I cannot get rid of. Any one out there successfully worked around this issue?
