Access DB Duplicates Itself

I have an access db shared out to my department on our Dell Poweredge 4300 server. Without any prompting from myself or anyone else the db simply duplicates itself, I call the original db “db2” each duplicate then counts up ie; “db023,db024,db025…” do you know where the setting is located that activates this feature? If so where is it?
