Access Front End looses ODBC link when not active…

I have an Access 2003 front end running on an MS SQL database linked via ODBC. Right now, it seems as though when the users go to lunch leaving the database open, the ODBC closes itself and the application in Access is not in use for a period of time, it acts as if the link goes to sleep. Is there a way to prevent this?
