Access memory issues in Windows XP

I have a consultant doing some programming for us in Access 2002 (XP). The problems is that the consultant is getting a considerable amount of errors, keyboard freezes, and memory issues while debugging or form building. She has told me that in previous work that ofter the “buffers” need increased to allow for greater memory use. The errors are only related to Access. The other office aps are working fine. Often the error comes along with a message box that wants to send the error to Microsoft (error reporting). The errors cause work to be lost. Shutting down Access and restarting seems to help sometimes.

The PC is a P4 with 512 of ram and running Windows XP Pro. The HD is a 80 gig drive.

Any help out there?
