Accessing a clicked value from crystal reports!

i just got to invoke a function while clicking on the group name or the field or on drill from report i am showing to the client ! The function needs a parameter out of the drill or click from report.So can anybody help me up accessing the field value ??i am using VB.NEt to code n crystal reports 9.1 for reporting !! thanks allot in advance ..
