Acrobat Professional and Word XP

I am trying to convert a Word document into a PDF file. The problem is I do not have the PDF conversion toolbar in Word. I found an article that said to check that PDFMaker.dot exists in C:program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\startup
then rename it .old. Tried this but it did not work. Any sugguestions?
