Professional Sony DVD Recorders.

I currently have 4 DVDs from the AU Veterans Affairs Department that the owner wants copied for her children as they cover the experiences of he husbands War Records and everything relating to his Military Service.

They come up as titled as Sony_DVD_Recorder_Volume but so far I’ve been unable to make working copies of them. I’ve had the Burnt DVD Professionally cleaned and while they play OK in a DVD player I’ve had no joy in making copies of these disc’s and to make matters worse the Department involved has run out of Funds to make any more so these 4 DVDs are irreplaceable for the time being at least.

I’ve tried a straight Disc to Disc Copy under both Nero and Easy CD Creator, Used DVD Shrink with Any DVD to unencrypt any encryption on the disc and then on another installation of XP I’ve used DVD Shrink with DVD 43 as an unencryption tool.

When neither of those worked I tried 123 Studio DVD Copier and 321 DVD Copier with and without encryption removal tools working.

According to the Copyright sticker on the back of these cases they are copyrighted and you can only copy them for personal use but not for sale or distribution but as they only cover one persons Military Service they would be useless to anyone else anyway other than immediate family.

Anyone have a solution for this one?
