Anyone know about Microsoft Works

Microsoft Works stop writing all of a sudden, if you go into the help, you can type a question, or you can insert characters or whatever, but when you try to write directly on the page it does not write, even on old and saved documents. Anyone know if is just a ‘feature’ or if it is a malfunction and the software needs to be re-installed
