Attachments on Outlook Express 6

Is there any way to prevent Outlook Express 6 from preventing access to certain attachments that Microsoft has deemed dangerous? I have a problem with receiving attachments with the .DOC extension and Outlook Express is saying that the files are potentially dangerous.
