Audio settings for windows communications – e.g MS Teams, Skype etc

I hope my query finds you well. I have USB headphones. I’ve configured the windows sound settings to use the headset as the default audio speakers. System sounds, Browser – audio works fine. But when I have an MS Team meeting the volume is soo low I can’t hear anything. I tried the Teams audio settings, the sound is very low. Same for Skype. All other audio levels are fine. Can anyone help me out, please?
