Auto-select Windows 98 Hardware Profile?

Anyone know of a way to make Win 98 SE auto select the correct hardware profile on laptops? Our builds have 3 profiles between the undocked, docked to dock, and docked to port replicator options. Laptops are varying Dell Latitude models if that matters. Any help is appreciated.
