Autorecover not saving file in Excel XP

Here is my problem on one of our computers we have Office XP installed. The client is using excel with the auto-recover set to save every 2 minutes, and its not working. Here is what I have tried. I reinstalled office, rechecked the settings many times, I have disabled all power saving settings, and I?m getting the same error every time? it just does not save. Well someone please help, Thank You.
