Briefcase File Sync Problem

Hi,

I am using Biefcase for Windows2000 Pro. I want to copy some file and folder in briefcase with other name since i have to modify them and do not want to disturb original files/Folders. When i try to do so i get following error ” Sync copies cannot be created because because folder itself already has or is sync copy. To Add files to this folder move them to a folder and click update all”

Trying to move this file same error displays. Is there any way to make copy/move file folder easy
