Can an email get stuck

I just got this message from one of our users: Help. This file has been sent like 15 times to my wife. Can you clear the email spool on the server?

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can I look into this? I’m running Exchange 2000 on a server 2000 box. I’ve never had to look into anything like this before. Thanks.
