can I create a .ics file from a xls file

Hello all, I have a little problem that I hope someone out there can help me with.

We have a company calendar/diary created in an .xls file, which we’ve been able to transfer into a .csv file to import directly into MS Outlook(standalone) which works fine. But what i’d like to do is transfer the .xls file into a .ics (iCalendar File) so that our users can click on the file and automatically update their calendars without the hassle of the import process. Having it in the .ics format would make life alot easier for importing the file into other mail clients calendars to, namely Netscape and Mozzila.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
