Cannot backup Solaris with Backup Exec 9

I’m using Windows 2000 Server for Backup Exec 9.0 Server and various clients (windows as well as solaris). Whenever I try to backup Solaris systems, after a while it fails and the log summary shows :

Final error code: a00084f9 HEX
Final error description: A communications failure has occured between the Backup Exec job engine and the remote agent.
Final error category: Resource Errors

Whereas, the same log in detailed mode (Expand All button pressed) shows a different error:

I’ve already tried the following solutions:
– Keeping the verify option un-checked.
– Keeping the NICs at 100/Full at both the ends – backup server’s NIC and remote machine’s NIC, as well as the switches connecting the two servers.

Any help would be appreciated.
