Cant find spooler folder

Hi,

I was looking at a previous post where someone suggested going to the c:\Windows\System32\Spooler\printers and delete the shd and spl files. I don’t have a spooler folder but have one called spool off of the system32 folder on my Sony Vaio with XP Pro. There is a printers folder but it is blank. My problem started when I started getting a Data Execution Prevention message stating that the the Spooler subsystem App had closed the Spooler Subsystem App program. The suggestion was to delete these files but I don’t seem to have them. Can anyone help?
